MHT (HRT) Workshop
The MHT (HRT) Workshop is a 2-day, fully interactive, India-focused training designed to give clinicians a clear, practical, and evidence-based pathway to prescribing menopausal hormone therapy with confidence.
Across six structured modules, this workshop takes you from physiology → evidence → real-world prescribing, with a strong emphasis on locally available Indian formulations, doses, and clinical decision-making.
What you will learn
1. Understanding Endogenous & Exogenous Estrogens and Progestogens
Build a solid foundation by revisiting how ovarian hormones behave across the lifespan, how estradiol differs from ethinyl estradiol, and how synthetic and bioidentical progestogens differ in structure, action, and safety.
2. Understanding Menopause
Clarify reproductive staging using STRAW, differentiate perimenopause from postmenopause, and understand symptom physiology, diagnostic challenges, and why many women seek care in their 30s and 40s.
3. MHT: Terminology and Goals
Learn the language of hormone therapy, modern classifications, treatment goals, risk frameworks, and how to frame clear, confident conversations with Indian patients.
4. Landmark Studies & Current Evidence
Unpack WHI, PEPI, HERS, ELITE, KEEPS, etc. Understand what these trials really showed, what has changed in 20 years, and how modern guidelines interpret the evidence.
5. Prescribing MHT During Perimenopause
A step-by-step approach to the most confusing stage • cycle irregularity vs estrogen swings • bleeding patterns • choosing doses and routes • protecting the endometrium • managing PMDD-like symptoms • India-specific protocols and products
6. Prescribing MHT After Perimenopause
Confidently choose regimens for symptomatic postmenopausal women: • continuous vs cyclic therapy • estrogen–progestogen types • transdermal vs oral • titration strategies • risk assessment • adapting to comorbidities • Indian formulations and combinations
