In my opinion, the number one reason for the underutilization of vaginal estrogen for women suffering from the GenitUrinary symptoms of menopause is IGNORANCE! Ignorance, driven by the embarrassment that a woman feels in asking her doctor for help AND the failure of doctors in asking about sexual health when a postmenopausal woman walks into their clinic.

Unfortunately, a very small fraction of Gynecologists are trained in menopause health across the globe even though it affects half the world's population.

BUT

You can learn to educate and advocate for yourself!

So, I'm leaving with some homework today - please pick up the phone and make an appointment with your doctor this week to discuss any vaginal, sexual, or urinary symptoms that you may be suffering from even if you aren’t sure that it’s menopause related.
